I am a Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) Practitioner and HPC Registered Clinical Psychologist/Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society with substantial experience of working psychologically. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and have completed post-doctoral training Cognitive Analytic Therapy. This therapy focuses on repeating patterns in relationships and in our behaviour.  I am also interested in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focussed, Psychodynamic and Mindfulness based approaches. I work therapeutically in the NHS and Private Practice with individuals and couples with a variety of psychological difficulties as well as being an invited Lecturer for local North West Universities.

My experience is varied and includes working with a range of difficulties, including relationship difficulties, loss, trauma, chronic physical health management, substance misuse / addictions and personality difficulties. I am experienced in working with people with a range of mood difficulties, including depression and bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression).  I also work with individuals to use therapy for self-development. I am experienced in working with adults of all ages, including older people.  I enjoy working collaboratively with people to jointly understand the difficulties that they are experiencing and encourage self-awareness to enable individuals to make informed life choices moving forwards.

I am experienced in working with individuals with dementia, their carers and families as well as providing training to staff teams and organisations around dementia.

I am registered with a range of private medical companies and medico-legal agents to provide assessment and therapy following trauma and accidents.  I also offer CAT informed supervision.
